Sponsor-A-Kid project was conceptualized after our founder witnessed the challenging life the underprivileged children in Vietnam faces daily.
We initiated the project in 2021. We strongly believe that education is vital to break the cycle of poverty in these children’s lives. In order to continue their education, we are helping the children to eradicate basic and life threatening difficulties such as starvation and cold.
We are sponsoring daily necessities, clothing and food to the children every month to make sure they are physically and mentally ready for their daily education. We are determined to sponsor these children until they complete their compulsory school years.
We have been sponsoring 11 children every month since 2021 until the time of writing this in 2023. We will continue to include more children in need in the future years. We are proud to see some of the children whom we are sponsoring obtain outstanding achievements such as earning enrollment into selective schools due to merit.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child in this project, kindly reach out to us. The monthly sponsorship is AUD 35 per month, with at least 6 months of commitment. The good news is your donation is tax deductible.
We have trusted local volunteers in Vietnam to help us vet the children and obtain necessary information before sending them to the board members in Australia. The general inclusion criteria is that the child will not be able to go to school or may continue to suffer from hunger and cold without our sponsorship. Most of our children who are now receiving our love were once in an extremely perilous situation before
Yes, if you are willing to directly sponsor a child, we will show you his/her information and picture. However, we do not encourage a specific requirement of gender/ religion/ race. We treat all the children the same.
Dana charity group is a 100% volunteer run group. We have reliable volunteers who will pass the items to the children every two weeks or monthly and pictures will be taken as evidence. We will also directly communicate with the children at least twice a year through phone calls to ensure they are safe and well looked after.
